MANTIS PIXO stereo microscope
The stereo microscope for image quality
The Mantis optical stereo microscope provides an unrivaled, detailed and high-contrast 3D image that is perfect for 3D viewing and manipulation of a wide range of samples.

Eyepieceless design
Mantis' eyepieceless technology projects a large, brilliant optical stereo image directly into the user's eyes. This makes the image much easier and more comfortable to view compared to conventional microscopes. The unique image quality is the result of perfectly matched lenses and optics. The clarity of the 3D image supports improved hand-eye coordination, making the manipulation of objects with tools more accurate, faster and more efficient.
Customer-specific optics
To ensure the highest image quality, each lens is tailored to the Mantis system and high-quality optical quality glass is combined with special coatings to ensure high-resolution, high-contrast vision.
For special applications, the SLWD (Super Long Working Distance) lenses MTO007 and MTO009 are offered.
Dynamic vision
The wide field of view offers the user great freedom of movement while viewing. Get an additional change of perspective by moving your head slightly.
This "dynamic view" improves visual understanding because it allows a side view and provides a much greater level of information than a traditional microscope.

Powerful digital imaging
Transfer your image to a screen with Mantis PIXO. Improve reporting and communication efficiency. Capture, review and edit images in high quality, in real time, including annotations. Maximize work efficiency with digital overlays to compare live images with targets or preset set points..

THE stereomicroscope for ergonomics
The ergonomic design and operation of Mantis ensures limitless comfort. A comfortable posture, maximum eye comfort, improved hand-eye coordination, ease of use and the perfect stereo view enable a higher level of precise, comfortable and productive performance over longer periods of time.
Freedom of movement
The patented eyepieceless technology enables comfortable viewing in an upright ergonomic position. This is a major advantage over conventional microscopes and reduces muscle tension in the neck and shoulder area. As the image is also comparatively large, the user does not have to hold their head in a fixed position, which also improves working comfort.
Hand-eye-coordination
The characteristic stereo view of Mantis enables the user to see the object directly as well as peripherally. This enhanced view helps to recognize the shape and form of the object, as well as the position and location of tools used to manipulate the specimen.
You coordinate your hands in a natural way.

Maximal comfort for the eyes
The large distance between the system and the eye allows access to ambient light and reduces the activity or contraction of the iris during work. Users can wear corrective or protective eyewear without compromising performance. No eyepieces and simple controls support “”non-contact"” viewing. The distance between the system and the user's eye also reduces the risk of cross-contamination and eye infection.
Easily use the Mantis in otherwise inaccessible environments such as laminar flow cabins.
Easy to operate
Mantis has easy-to-use controls that ensure that every user becomes familiar with the device quickly and effectively. Want to change the view, for example? By turning the nosepiece, you can select three different magnifications with a simple flick of the wrist.

Perfect stereo image at all times
The simple adjustment of the inter-pupillary distance (IPD) ensures that every user always has perfect stereo vision. Simply turn the control until the binocular image matches your eyes..
THE stereo microscope with 5x illumination
The Mantis has 5 different illumination modes for maximum illumination of your object. This ensures perfect, shadow-free illumination of your specimen for the best quality of inspection and manipulation.
Dynamic 3D illumination
Mantis has two LED modules that can be switched synchronously or independently of each other. By controlling the two LED modules independently, you can add shadow areas and thus improve the 3D representation of the subject. Unwanted reflections are also avoided.

Transmitted light illumination
Transmitted light illumination enables the inspection of transparent and translucent objects or liquids and organic samples. Choose the Stabila stand with integrated transmitted light illumination for a simple but effective solution to your requirements.
White/UV illlumination
Choose white/UV illumination for applications such as the validation of clear coats on PCBs to ensure a uniform coating. Quickly change the light to view on or through the coating.

Contrast-improving transmitted light illumination
Optional transmitted light illumination provides contrast-improving conditions for plastics, glass, biological samples and other transparent or translucent materials. Adjust the aperture, illumination angle and intensity for better light control, e.g. to emphasize edges or important details of the sample.
EPI illumination
Episcopic illumination works with a light beam that is coaxial to the beam path and hits the object vertically, illuminating the base and sides. Inspections of drill holes, cavities or internal threads, for example, are simplified and carried out quickly.

THE stereomicroscope for your applications
Perfect for all applications requiring up to 8x magnification where magnifying lamps or conventional stereo microscopes are traditionally used. Ideal for quality inspection of assemblies, repairs and rework, sample preparation, dissection and much more. Mantis is the 3D stereomicroscope of choice for industries such as electronics, medical technology, mechatronics, aerospace, automotive and life sciences.
Electronics
Improved hand-eye coordination and reduced operator fatigue make tasks such as soldering, PCB inspection and rework easier, especially over long working hours.
Precision mechanics
The exceptional 3D stereo view makes Mantis the ideal solution for precision mechanics inspection tasks such as finishing components, detecting anodizing or hardening defects, or for tasks that require the use of tools, such as deburring, etc.
Medical technology
From stents to catheters - all medical devices must be inspected in accordance with strict regulations. The variable illumination makes Mantis particularly suitable for critical, manual inspections.
Life Science & Biosciences
Sample preparation, sampling, preparation and manipulation in the laboratory can be carried out comfortably and safely. Safety goggles can be worn without any problems thanks to the eyepieceless technology. Use in a safety cabinet (laminar flow box) is guaranteed.
Plastics and rubber
The quality control of e.g. rubber seals and plastic parts and the inspection or rework such as the removal of burrs and other injection molding defects is facilitated by large working distances.
Watch industry and jewelry
Depth perception and hand-eye coordination make Mantis ideal for the production of watches and jewelry. The assembly and completion of the smallest watch movements or the insertion of jewels is carried out with safety and precision.
Dental technology
Mantis is the 1st choice in dental laboratories. For testing the accuracy of fit and color design of dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, inlays, ceramic veneers and implants through to partial or full dentures.
Lenses for Mantis PIXO
Up to three lenses can be attached to the nosepiece of the Mantis PIXO. Three different magnifications can be quickly selected with a simple hand movement.
