Mini moitors

The Desco Mini Monitor is a continuous monitor for a single workstation. It continuously monitors the path-to-ground integrity of an operator and an ESD work surface. The illuminated housing makes the status of the operator and work surface clearly visible to the operator and supervisor.

The mini monitor is designed with Wave Distortion Technology to provide stable, continuous monitoring of the operator's wrist grounding and 1-megohm resistance. Audible and visual alarms are activated (in less than 50 milliseconds) if the operator unintentionally disconnects from the monitor or if the wrist strap connection points are interrupted. The Mini Monitor also monitors that the path between the work surface and ground is less than 10 megohms. All Mini Monitors are calibrated to NIST standards.

• Park Delay Timer and ParkSnap™: indicates the 8-second delay to disconnect the operator's wrist cable and park without triggering a false alarm
• Mat Monitor Switch: deactivates the work surface monitoring circuit when the device is used in areas where there is no ESD work surface
• Audible alarm setting: adjusts the volume of the audible alarm from loud to louder
• Wave Distortion Technology: enables stable, continuous monitoring (as opposed to pulsed or intermittent signals) of the wrist strap ground path and the presence of the 1 megohm safety resistance
• Threaded grounding and work surface attachment: grounding and monitoring of the work surface without additional cable
• Single-wire impedance design: meets ANSI/ESD S20. 20 in accordance with ESD TR1.0-01-0
• 1.2 volt test voltage for the operator: reduces the risk of electrical overstress (EOS) when handling sensitive components
• Alarm response time <50 milliseconds: identifies failures and interruptions that are overlooked by inferior technologies
• Available with 4 mm or 10 mm snap
