ESD safety shoe Gladiator black/red

The ESD safety boot Gladiator black/red by FTG combines high safety standards with modern design and comfort. This unisex boot, suitable for sizes 36 to 48, is made of high-quality nubuck leather and available in the color combination black/red. The composite toe cap and metal-free puncture protection ensure optimal safety, while the antibacterial and replaceable Atomic insole provides additional comfort. The PU/PU outsole with overcap is oil, acid, and petrol resistant as well as slip-resistant (SRC) and antistatic, making the boot ideal for work environments where electrostatic discharge (ESD) poses a risk.
The boot meets the standards EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 SRC and DIN EN 61340-5-1. It is also suitable for orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191 and offers a standard width of 12. The weight per shoe in size 42 is about 625 grams, making it robust yet comfortable to wear. The lace-up closure completes the functional design.
The Gladiator is part of FTG's Professional Line and represents an excellent choice for professionals who do not want to compromise on safety and comfort.

Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.

Safety shoe Professional Line Douglas / Gladiator

The Douglas safety shoes and Gladiator safety boots from FTG's Professional Line combine high safety standards with modern design and comfort. These models are made from high-quality nubuck leather and offer an excellent fit. The S3 safety class guarantees not only a composite toe cap, but also metal-free penetration protection that protects your feet from sharp objects on the floor.
The slip-resistant PU/PU outsole complies with the SRC standard and ensures a secure grip on various surfaces. The shoe is also resistant to oil, acid and petrol, making it ideal for demanding work environments. The antibacterial and replaceable insole, type Atomic, supports orthopaedic adjustments in accordance with DGUV 112-191. The shaft edge padding and the practical lace fastener provide additional comfort.
