The Uvex 2 Trend ESD safety sandal in black/red combines functionality with comfort and safety. This unisex safety shoe, made by Uvex, features a robust microvelour upper and an effective steel toe cap. The sandal is available in sizes 38 to 52 and includes a practical Velcro fastener that allows for quick putting on and taking off.The PU/PU outsole offers excellent slip resistance (SRC) and is highly abrasion-resistant, which increases the shoe's durability. Moreover, the shoe is classified as S1P according to EN ISO 20345:2011 and meets DIN EN 61340-5-1 standards. The cushioning comfort insole is replaceable and supports the use of orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191. The shoe weighs about 620 g for size 42. Custom versions are available upon request, with the standard width being 11.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Steel toe cap
Steel toe caps are somewhat heavier than other materials, but are very stable and resistant. As a rule, they can withstand a force of at least 200 joules.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole steel
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Steel midsoles are not affected by the shape of sharp objects or hazards. However, they only cover 85% of the tread surface. They are often used in the construction industry.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
