The Uvex ESD 1 Business gray safety shoe combines functionality with modern design and is ideally suited for use in technical professions. This model is made of high-quality micro velour and features a robust steel toe cap that effectively protects the toe area. The PU outsole is oil and gasoline resistant as well as highly slip-resistant, certifying the shoe according to the standards EN ISO 20345:2011 S2 SRC and DIN EN 61340-5-1.Available in sizes 39 to 52, the low shoe offers a standard width of 11 and the option to use orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191. The weight of the shoe is approximately 525 g for size 42, making it comfortable to wear. The cushioning comfort insole is replaceable, and special widths are available on request for individual fit requirements.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S2
Shoes with a protective toe cap. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a closed heel area and a fuel-resistant sole.

Steel toe cap
Steel toe caps are somewhat heavier than other materials, but are very stable and resistant. As a rule, they can withstand a force of at least 200 joules.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
