The K2 CA safety shoe from the HKS Challenger series offers an optimal combination of protection and comfort for professional use in demanding environments. The upper made of robust Cordura® and the aluminum toe cap with overcap ensure high durability and safety. The shoes are equipped with reflective applications that improve visibility. The TPU rubber sole with Air-Cell cushioning and the oil- and petrol-resistant as well as antistatic outsole according to EN ISO 20345 provide excellent grip and are slip-resistant (SRC). Additionally, the textile lining ensures a comfortable foot climate, while the textile puncture protection guards against sharp objects. The shoes are water-repellent and feature a dust protection flap and a replaceable insole. Sizes range from 36 to 48, and the color combination of black and red offers an appealing design. With a standard width of 11 and a shoe form as a low shoe, these unisex safety shoes are available in both medium and wide fits, making them an ideal companion for various foot shapes.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Aluminum toe cap
Aluminum toe caps are approx. 40 % lighter than steel caps, but do not rust. They have very high stability and durability and are recyclable.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
