The Uvex safety boot Chelsea Boot ESD 1 Business in blue combines modern design with the highest safety standards. This shoe, made of robust micro velour, features a steel toe cap and a metal-free penetration guard, making it exceptionally safe. The PU outsole is oil and petrol resistant as well as highly slip-resistant (SRC), making the boot ideal for demanding work environments.
The shoes meet the EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 and DIN EN 61340-5-1 standards and are available in sizes 39 to 52. They are also suitable for orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191 and offer additional wearing comfort through a cushioning comfort insole. Other features include a practical elastic band as closure and the possibility to obtain special widths on request. The shoe weight is about 580 g at size 42.
Whether for professional use or demanding projects, this safety boot represents a reliable choice that effectively combines safety and comfort.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Steel toe cap
Steel toe caps are somewhat heavier than other materials, but are very stable and resistant. As a rule, they can withstand a force of at least 200 joules.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
