The Uvex ESD 1 G2 safety shoe in Black/Red is specifically designed for use in areas where electrostatic discharge (ESD) poses a risk. This unisex low-cut shoe is available in sizes 35 to 52 and meets the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S1 SRC, making it an excellent choice for a variety of work environments. The shoe features a plastic toe cap for toe protection and a metal-free penetration guard, making it also suitable for those allergic to chrome. The upper material is made of x-dry knit, which is durable and breathable, while the sole is made of slip-resistant polyurethane (PU). The insole is replaceable, and the shoe is also suitable for orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191. The model includes a TPU toe cap and elastic quick-release fasteners, allowing for quick and easy donning and doffing. The oil and petrol resistance and slip resistance SRC provide additional safety at the workplace.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1
Shoes with a protective toe cap. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
uvex xenova® system
The high-performance, completely metal-free uvex xenova® system is used to protect the foot in the safety shoe. The protective toe cap fits perfectly and guarantees special comfort when working on the knees and bumping. The flexible, penetration-resistant midsole fits exactly to the insole in its width, does not act as a cold bridge and thus promotes comfort when worn.
