The ESD 6418 safety sandal from Jalas combines high safety standards with wearing comfort and is specifically designed for use in industrial environments. This sandal is available in black and covers sizes 36 to 47. It features a composite toe cap and a metal-free penetration protection, making it ideal for work environments where non-metallic materials are required. The upper is made of durable microfiber, and the shoe is equipped with an oil-resistant, antistatic PU outsole that is also slip-resistant according to SRC standard. The sandal belongs to the S1P class and meets the standards EN ISO 20345 S1P SRC, DIN EN 345-1, and DIN EN 61340-5-1. Another feature is the shock absorption zone made of Poron® XRD® in the heel area as well as the ProNose toe cap wear protection for extended durability. The FX2 Pro type insole is replaceable and supports orthopedic adjustments according to DGUV 112-191 and ÖNORM Z 1259. Weighing 540 g at size 42, the sandal offers both protection and comfort for all-day wear.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
Ergothan
Ergothan, an efficient shock absorption system, makes the shoes very ergonomic and prevents injuries to the feet. A plastic clasp under the insole makes the shoes stable and provides support for long working days.
