The S3 MADDOX black-red Low ESD safety shoe from Elten combines advanced protective features with a sporty design and high comfort. This model is equipped with a robust steel toe cap and a metal-free penetration guard, making it ideal for work environments where safety is a top priority. The shoes meet the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S3, SRC, Form A, highlighting their suitability for professional applications.
The surface is made from a hydrophobic mix of textile material, microfiber, and nubuck leather, making the shoe water-resistant. The TPU/PU sole with the innovative Infinergy® core from BASF provides excellent cushioning and is also oil-resistant, chemical-resistant, and anti-static. The slip-resistant SRC classification ensures additional safety on slippery surfaces.
Available in sizes 35 to 48 and in the color combination black/red, the shoe features a replaceable ESD SPORTIVE black insole and is suitable for orthopedic adjustments according to DGUV 112-191 and ÖNORM Z 1259. Weighing 555 g in size 42 and featuring a lace-up closure, this low-cut shoe from the WELLMAXX series offers an optimal balance between protection and comfort for professional use.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Steel toe cap
Steel toe caps are somewhat heavier than other materials, but are very stable and resistant. As a rule, they can withstand a force of at least 200 joules.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
BASF Infinergy®
Elastic like rubber, but resiliently light. The world's first expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU). Combines the properties of TPU with the advantages of foams. Infinergy® has a low density, is extremely elastic and abrasion-resistant and has very good resilience. Infinergy® also has a permanent load-bearing capacity in a wide temperature range (-20 to over +40°C).
Reflective material
In rain, in the shade, at dusk and in the dark, people wearing dark clothing are only noticed at a distance of about 30 meters. Equipped with reflective materials, it provides additional protection through good visibility even in adverse weather and light conditions.
