The Baak Rob2 ESD safety boot from the "Baak Sports light" series combines high safety standards with modern design and comfort. This ESD-compliant shoe is made of high-quality cow nubuck leather and is available in black/gray colors. It is available in sizes 36 to 48 and meets the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S3 SRC.The features include a plastic toe cap and a metal-free penetration-resistant layer, which, together with the slip-resistant nitrile outsole (SRC), ensure optimal safety. The weight of the shoe is 555 g for size 42. The low-cut shoe has a climate-regulating lining that is antibacterial and fungicidal treated, and an EVA midsole for added comfort. The insole is replaceable and meets the orthopedic requirements of DGUV 112-191 and ÖNORM Z 1259.
Particularly notable is the flexibility in use due to the possibility of fitting orthopedic insoles and the lightweight, water-repellent upper material. The shoe is ideal for professional environments where safety and comfort are essential.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
