The ESD safety sandal Cody by U-Power combines functionality with modern design and provides comprehensive protection according to standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345. This sandal is specifically designed for use in work environments where electrostatic discharge (ESD) can pose a risk. It features a composite toe cap and a metal-free puncture-resistant layer, making it ideal for safety class S1P. The upper material made of soft, perforated suede in the color combination black/red, together with the breathable WingTex® lining, ensures high wearing comfort and durability. The sandal is available in sizes 35 to 48 and offers an individual fit through the Velcro closure. The innovative PU midsole is complemented by a PU and Infinergy® outsole, which is not only slip-resistant and oil-resistant but also has antistatic properties. The insole is replaceable and supports orthopedic adjustments according to DGUV 112-191. Ideal for men and women working in industrial environments where safety and comfort are essential.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
BASF Infinergy®
Elastic like rubber, but resiliently light. The world's first expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU). Combines the properties of TPU with the advantages of foams. Infinergy® has a low density, is extremely elastic and abrasion-resistant and has very good resilience. Infinergy® also has a permanent load-bearing capacity in a wide temperature range (-20 to over +40°C).
Insole WOW
The WOW insole with an anatomical structure is made of a soft, dynamic material compound from BASF with an excellent self-sculpting property that evenly distributes body weight over the entire sole of the foot. This means more comfort and a long-lasting sense of well-being.
