The PE foam offered here is specifically designed for applications that require electrostatic discharge capability. This closed-cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam in black has a material density of 46 kg/cm³ and can be used up to a maximum operating temperature of 90 °C. The thickness of the foam is 6 mm, and it meets the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1, making it ideal for use as plug-in foam, interlayers, or web walls in containers, as well as a work surface mat.
The electrostatic conductivity is ensured by typical surface resistances of 10^5 to 10^7 Ohm, with the skin side showing resistances of 10^5 to 10^6 Ohm and the non-skin side from 10^7 to 10^8 Ohm. The dimensional tolerance for the cuts is +/- 1%, and there can be production-related over or under deliveries. This PE foam is a reliable choice for technical applications in sensitive environments where precision and reliability are required.
