WS Aware Workplace Monitor Standard Remotes
The WS Aware Workplace Monitor Standard Remotes provides a comprehensive monitoring solution for ensuring correct grounding connections at workplaces, monitoring the impedance of two low-resistance (e.g., tools, soldering irons, machines) and two high-resistance (e.g., desk mats) grounding connections. In addition to monitoring EMI events at these connections, the device enables logging of all detected events via a current data output through a Facility Monitoring System (FMS) or optionally via a digital MODBUS interface for networking over an Ethernet network.
Alarm thresholds are adjustable, and exceedances are indicated by colored LEDs (Ok green, Alarm red, EMI Voltage yellow flashing) and optionally by an audible alarm. Unused inputs are disabled via DIP switches. Through two remote terminals that can be attached under the table, the discharge resistance and body voltage of two dual-wire wrist straps (Operator and Visitor) are continuously measured. A "Big Brother" function detects whether a person at the workstation is grounded and triggers an alarm if not grounded.
