The KNIPEX 7902125 ESD side cutter is specifically designed for precise cutting tasks in electronics and fine mechanics. This tool features electrically conductive, dissipative handles and very precisely ground cutting edges with small facets for exact cuts on sensitive components. The cutting edges are additionally inductively hardened, allowing for a hardness of approximately 64 HRC and also supporting flush cutting without a facet.
Weighing just 61 g, this side cutter is about 20% lighter than conventional electronic pliers. The construction includes a screwed joint for low-friction movement and a smooth double spring that promotes gentle opening. The ergonomically optimized multi-component sleeves and the round head support comfortable use.
The technical specifications include a length of 125 mm, a head width of 11 mm, and a head thickness of 6.5 mm. The material consists of polished and burnished steel. The pliers can cut soft materials up to a diameter of 1.7 mm, medium-hard up to 1.29 mm, and hard up to 0.7 mm.
The Knipex "Profi" series for highest requirements concerning efficiency and performance. The precision cutting pliers have precision-ground, sharp cutting edges for the use e.g. in electronics and fine mechanics, with a small bevel or without bevel for precise cuts on sensitive electronic components. A low-friction double spring ensures a smooth and even opening. Forged of high-quality chrome-vanadium ball bearing steel with glare-free finish and low weight. All versions are electrically dissipative
Knipex pliers comply with the highest requirements concerning performance, ergonomics, and service life.
Due to a special selection of the used steels and the careful and high-quality processing, the Knipex pliers achieve an optimal durability and service life. Innovative ideas always offer forward-looking solutions for an easy, effective and safe working.
The cutting shapes and cutting performance:
With mini bevel (facet) Nearly flush cut. Fine cutting edges. Suitable for soft steel wire, copper wire and cable.
With small bevel (facet) Normal cut. Suitable for cutting hard and soft steel wires as well as soft materials such as copper wire and cable.
With large bevel (facet) Suitable for cutting hard and very hard steel wires. Long service life.
Without bevel (facet) Flush cut. Extremely sharp cutting edges. Only suitable for soft steel wires, copper wire and cable.
Without bevel flush (facet) Flush cut for soft materials.
Electrostatic Discharge - marking for materials intended to protect other components from ESD by avoiding potential differences.
Mini bevel
Almost flush cut with fine cutting edges. Slightly shock-reduced cut, the cut leaves only a very small point at the end of the wire. Can be used for soft steel wires and copper wires.
