The cutting edges of the side cutter are very precisely ground and have small facets as well as inductive hardening, achieving a cutting hardness of about 64 HRC. This allows for precise cuts on sensitive components and offers the option for flush cutting without a facet. Despite its robustness, the side cutter weighs about 20% less than conventional electronic pliers.
