Cable shears StepCut 1000V

The KNIPEX StepCut 1000V cable cutter is a VDE-tested shear specifically designed for cutting Cu and Al multi-strand cables up to a diameter of 15 mm (50 mm²) and solid Cu and Al cables up to 5 x 4 mm². This shear, due to its compact size of only 160 mm, is particularly handy and allows for effortless cutting, which is up to 40% easier compared to comparable standard models. The ergonomic leg design ensures optimal cutting feel even with larger cable diameters.
The shear features a screwed joint that is precise and smooth-running and promises a long lifespan. An integrated pinch guard ensures safe operation. The blades are additionally induction-hardened and achieve a hardness of about 56 HRC, making the shear very resistant. However, it is not suitable for steel wire and hard-drawn copper conductors.
The cable cutter is made of high-quality tool steel, chrome-plated, and equipped with an insulated handle sleeve that meets VDE standards and provides protection when working under voltage up to AC 1000V and DC 1500V. This product complies with DIN EN 60900 and IEC 60900, making it ideal for professional applications in the electrical field.
