In sensitive ESD work areas in the high-tech industry, first-class equipment is essential to provide reliable protection against electrostatic discharge. The ESD TEXON from bimos, specially developed for EPAs (ESD Protected Areas), meets the strict requirements of the international standard  DIN EN 61340-5-1 and therefore offers maximum safety. It is an excellent choice for high-tech industries, the electronics, microchip and semiconductor sectors in particular.

The chair also makes a clear statement with its ergonomic design and high level of comfort: The focus is always on the health and well-being of employees.

ESD workstations are not all the same. The decisive difference often lies in the different desk heights at which people work. For this reason, Bimos offers the ESD TEXON in different versions: high, low, with glides, footrest, sit-stop castors or conventional castors. This ensures safe and comfortable sitting for every task.

The one for the ESD area - reliably fulfills the standard

ESD protection for the use of chairs in EPAs (ESD Protected Areas) is regulated in the  DIN EN 61340-5-1 standard. It stipulates that the  bleeder resistance from all areas of the seating to the floor must be < 10 9 Ω. However, as stricter requirements are often set in practice, Bimos ESD chairs are even safer: the typical discharge resistance is 10 6 Ω - as is the surface resistance, which is not mentioned in the regulation in relation to chairs.

Change the  upholstery at any time

The TEXON is equipped with replaceable cushions that can be removed with a click. This makes it easy to clean the seat and backrest underneath. They are closed and washable - a step towards cleanliness in the ESD work area. And, of course, new upholstery can also be inserted without any problems.

One chair, many tasks

The removable back and seat upholstery of the bimos TEXON is a special feature that allows the upholstery to be removed from the chair frame with a single click. This means that the surfaces under the upholstery can also be cleaned easily. If new upholstery is required, it is sufficient to simply replace these elements without having to replace the entire chair. Also available as a cleanroom version.
